APAHM 2018: Screening of Kumu Hina (DICE)

Join us, APAHM, American Indian/Indigenous Student Initatives, and LGBTQ Student Initatives for a film screening of Kumu Hina.

Through the lens of a Hina Wong-Kalu, a Native Hawaiian mahu or transgender woman, honored and respected kumu or teacher, cultural practitioner, and community leader, tells her story of how she’s been able to navigate her Pacific Islander culture and values within the modern day society of Hawai’i.

After the film, we'll be Skyping Hina Wong-Kalu for a discussion about her experience.
