Expanding Your Horizons: Learning Experiences Outside of the Classroom

Date: Thursday, January 27, 2022, 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Location: Virtual

Cost: Free

In the first session of the First-Gen Student Empowerment Series for the Spring, we will discuss ways to connect with your academics outside of the classroom. This session will specifically focus on getting involved with research, service-learning, and education abroad. We will have guest speakers from Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry, the Office of Service-Learning, and the Office of International Affairs to explain how to get involved with these great experiential learning opportunities. Register for the event here.

This program is the same as the program held in the fall.

If you require an accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Jayden Messer at or 614-688-8449. Requests made one week in advance of the event will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
