The AFNR World Cup Potluck

Date: Thursday, November 7, 2024, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Location: Heminger Hall Kitchen, Heminger Hall

Cost: Free

Association of Future Nurse Researcher (AFNR) is a professional organization for PhD students registered with the university. This allows us to request funding to host events that benefit and support our community. The purpose of AFNR is to create a collaborative and welcoming environment where PhD students in Nursing can meet, support, and mentor one another. Our activities include both on-campus and off-campus events aimed at networking, support, and mentorship. Any student currently enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing program at The Ohio State University is automatically a member.

Last year, our previous AFNR team—Meggie, Nate, and Sooyoung—organized a fantastic event that brought together PhD students and faculty for a chance to connect and network. ?? This year, we're excited to bring back the AFNR World Cup Potluck again, where students and faculty can bring foods and share dishes of their choice. The event will also serve as a fundraiser for AFNR, which will support future events as requested by our members (e.g. mini workshops to develop presentation skills and poster-making sessions). The potluck will take place on Thursday, November 7th from 11 am to 1 pm.

We'd really love to hear from you about the availability and any idea you have. Please take a moment to fill out our survey (https://forms.gle/vX1ifhmW9rM4RPmR9) Participation in the potluck is optional, but we hope to see you there!

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing everyone (and your delicious dishes) at this event again.
