The TEATRO interest group within the MUNDO Learning initiative at Ohio State invites all interested students, staff, and faculty to celebrate United Black World Month with a screening and talk-back discussion about the powerful documentary "Marching On: The Fight for School Integration in Hillsboro, Ohio."
The film director, Dr. Melvin Barnes, historian and Program Coordinator at Ohio Humanities will be on-hand to dialogue about working with a group local mothers to tell their story of fighting for integration and social change during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s as well as for future generations up through the present.
Light refreshments will be provided, and an RSVP is requested to ensure space for all interested participants.
If you require an accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in this event, please contact Julius W. Mayo III at mayo.2@osu.edu or 614-247-2527. Requests made one week in advance of the event will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
