"The Art of Saying No" Writing Workshop
Date: Friday, March 29
Time: 12:15-1 p.m.
Location: Zoom

As multiple tasks and "opportunities" come our way, day after day, it can become a challenge to say no, even when it's the best thing to do. Join The Writing Center for an online writing workshop on The Art of Saying No. During this 45-minute zoom session, we will use informal group writing to pause and consider what may be blocking your ability to say no. Together, we will explore the expectations, both spoken and unspoken, that emerge from professional and personal contexts. We will enumerate the cost of saying yes, and finding ourselves overworked and overwhelmed. We’ll engage in reflection and generate conversation about how we can say no without alienating our communities, and in ways that open avenues for enthusiastic yet sustainable engagement.
